My first Fortina-Stamford experience . . . A weekday lunch with a friend, and staff were cheerful -- clearly happy in their work and clearly glad to have us as customers. I had lemonade -- which was superb, comparable to Hellenic's famous lemonade way out in Greenport, Long Island -- and the Classic Margherita pizza, also superb, perfectly charred crust, and just the right mix of fresh basil and fresh mozzarella. My friend had the 'Original Famous Ray's' and we traded slices; the Ray's pie had fragrant oregano skewing the flavor to a nice tang. Decor is smart, with emphasis on function; the space is clean, and acoustically efficient to ensure a pleasantly lively noise level. Judging by some of the other reviews, Fortina-Stamford is better experienced daytime rather than night, when staff are fresh and customers not crazy after a day at the corporate rat-race. I'll be back, with other friends and family -- for lunch!

Saturday night, October 19th a group of six friends went to Fortina Stamford to celebrate a friend's birthday dinner. We had drinks at the bar before being seated for dinner. I am a 70 year old male who uses a cane, as we were walking to our table, the tall maitre d' with a beard walked beside me and offered his arm for support. It was such a kind and considerate gesture, and it made me feel truly cared for. It's rare to come across such thoughtfulness, and it left a lasting impression on me. Fortina Stamford has created such a warm and welcoming environment. It made our celebration all the more special, and I will always remember this kind act. The drinks, appetizers, main course meals and desserts were so delicious. We will definitely be going back to Fortina Stamford.

Third time visiting, always sitting outside. Food and service were excellent. We only had gazpacho (strange to see this Spanish dish in an Italian restaurant) and prosciutto with melon. Both were amazing. Two gentleman waiting tables outside were super friendly and attentive, which was much appreciated. We need to go back for the main course soon

Went to Fortina last night with a group of 8 people for my 25th birthday and Crystal was our server. She was funny, caring and made our experience a great time. Food (was delicious) wings, calamari, garlic bread, pizza and more-came out quick and drinks were bomb. Would highly recommend!! Will be coming back when it's not raining so we can enjoy the rooftop:)

Always a good spot to come when it's warm. They have amazing outdoor seating and a rooftop. We sat inside because we ordered off the happy hour menu which had a great deal on drinks and food. The staff is normally pretty good when you come in. The pizza is always delicious and I loved their white sangria. The mozzarella sticks also are amazing

Fortina has always been a favorite of mine in Stamford for larger group dinners. The food is always delicious and is fairly priced for the area. We started with a fried calamari and burrata toast for the table. The calamari was delicious as it was a great mix of rings and the little mini octopus. The burrata toast was my favorite although it should be a larger portion for the price and really is not ideal to share with even two people. It is the perfect sweet and salty balance. The fig compliments the burrata perfectly and the right amount of crunch and salty comes from the toast. The lemon bucatini pasta is a must try. So glad it is finally back on the menu as it was gone for a good portion of Covid. Their white sangria has more of a mimosa taste to it but is very sweet and savory! Service is generally helpful and efficient. For some reason they don't write down your order and memorize most of it. Which is extremely impressive. There is ample free parking on the street and nearby parking garages.

Been here a few times over that years and the food isn't bad. Most recently we tried the pastas as we typically get the pizzas and we were really impressed! Very impressed that takeout for lunch only took 15 mins! In the past we used to have to wait for over an hour when we did sit in.

Always, always great food drinks and vibes. The rooftop in the summer is so nice, and the inside has great decor. The pizza, pasta, salads, entrees and desserts are sooo soo good but special shout-out to the wood fire veggie platter. Drinks are also always very good! Only taking a star off as service always seems slow here even when they're not really busy. The servers most always have a great attitude, just not sure why sometimes you wait so long for you're waiter to great the table. Also, more times than not have I ordered food and drinks at the same time, and received my food first.
